Concept to User - 1st Sept 2025

Since our last post the 'secret' project has move along quite rapidly. We almost have a comprehensive prototype.

We have a battery monitor, a unique engine monitor and we have displays and hub router options. If that wasn't enough the system talks via WiFi and Bluetooth, if you can view the web though a device you have complete control of your boat system.

Besides the battery monitor, we have our unique engine monitor. If you don't have one of those fancy NMEA type modern engines then our engine monitor will be an ideal choice. Our engine monitor will 'listen' to your engine and use some intelligence to highlight things that might be out of the normal running.

On top of the specialised device above, we have a 'hub' unit that can talk to both devices above. The hub device also adds positional data to the system and acts as a router for other devices.

If that wan't enough, we have a Victron interface via a 4 Pin JST connector, it's always good to see what the solar system is doing when feeding power to the battery systems. If you are using shore power, we have a module for that to :)

We are looking at the end of September for a final 'whole system' prototype that we can demonstrate. At the moment we are thinking about a Kickstarter campaign, but we might get the figures wrong in which case we can do an Indigogo campaign immediately after to supply our products to the enthusiastic users who want to support us.

The naming of a product is difficult, but we have gone for NaviSPI. Find more details on our alpha website at The NaviSPI boat controller.

We still have a long way to go, it's not our first rodeo. l

Thanks for your interest, We will keep you posted :)
